No one has done enough (or any) testing on me to decide whether I need an inhaled steroid or not. I’ve just been making do with a rescue inhaler before I go run.

One of these days my healthcare won’t be so chaotic and I’ll get proper diagnoses and treatments! I swear it!

Yes, I have had exercise induced asthma all my life, although no one knew what that was when I was young. I have been using an inhaled steroid (no side effects for me) for the last 5 years. Brand name = Flovent (fluticasone propionate) – One puff twice a day year round. I add in Albuterol in the spring/summer when grass pollen is affecting me…1/2 hour BEFORE the run. Love, FIL
