My orthotics have metatarsal (aka “met”) pads… basically bumps in the middle of the sole to help my foot arch and launch. My feet rub against them and blister. In some shoes I can layer a thin sole on top, but not in the shoes I raced in.

But you’re right. I should take the orthotics back to the physical therapist to shave down the side of the met pads. Hm…
