Hey Tim! Yeah, I wouldn’t use it on your ultramarathons or longest runs, because there is no organization to it, you’re limited in size of individual items, and odd-shaped items against your body would probably start to poke you. But for shorter runs where you just need a few items and gels, it works great.

That was my system before the FlipBelt. It does work well, but I love the ease that comes with belt. When I decided to buy the belt, it was one of those “Well, this will work really well or not at all” thoughts, haha. I was really pleased.

If I traveled, I would definitely bring it along! I like that you could flip all the openings against your body and hide it underneath your clothes, but it might be a pain to frequently be reaching underneath your clothes to retrieve something. I haven’t used any anti-pickpocketing gear, so I don’t know how the inconvenience compares to other options.

I’ve not come across these before, but will definitely get one for those runs where you just need a few small things. Thanks!

Might have to try one. I’ve been using an arm band. I attach my key to my shoe laces, but it seems you can carry a lot! : )

I’ve been looking at FlipBelt for a while, as something to add to my anti-pickpocket gear for travel. Your review has convinced me to take the plunge.
