One of my 2015’s resolutions was to pole dance at home at least once a week. One session a week makes for slow progress, but progress nonetheless. I’m hoping to make pole a bigger priority in my life, but now there are too many balls to juggle and not enough hours in the day.

But here are three moves that I have moved from my “Improving” list to my “Mastered” list.

Full Layback

The Full Layback is often a good indicator of how pole conditioned I am. It’s a fairly easy move but if I’m rusty I can’t stick it. Climb the pole, squeeze really hard with your legs, and lean back! I am working on gracefully transitioning from here into a Brass Monkey invert (photo later).

Superman

The thigh burn getting into Superman takes some time getting used to, but the pose itself isn’t awfully painful.  I am working on falling from here into a leg hang. Both doggies pictured doing what doggies do best.

Jasmine

Jasmine is a great transition move while going from upside-down to right-side-up and vice-versa. Oakley is behaving himself. He typically does not like people to be upside-down…

And yes, it IS basically just my furniture from the one-bedroom apartment placed into a giant house.

I’m a slow spender.

Leave me alone.
