Yoga Challenges - Free 30 day yoga challenges for 2017I’ve done a lot of yoga at home, recently. While I don’t get the feedback of an amazing instructor, it’s a great alternative when I don’t have the time, money, or the extroverted energy to be out in the world.

And while every beginner’s yoga class I’ve tried is incredibly welcoming and fun, I understand it’s often easier to first try yoga in the privacy of your home. (Here’s my anxious person’s guide to trying yoga, maybe.)

Whether you are a beginner or just want some time at home, here are four 30-day yoga challenges available for free online. Launch into 2017 with some yoga!

30 Day Yoga Challenges to Jumpstart 2017

Yoga for Beginners – 30 Day Challenge

This 30 day challenge for beginners is filled with basic poses with lots of instruction, giving you the foundation for more advanced videos or confidence when you first step into a yoga studio. Here’s Day 1.

I love how all the video titles start with the time-length, so you know how much time you need to set aside that day.

In a written introduction, Leslie talks about how she got started in yoga:

Before yoga, my head would never shut up! I felt anxious and uncomfortable. I stressed about the future and regretted the past. I was wound so tightly, took myself way too seriously and carried the weight of the world on my shoulders. I hardly ever laughed. Morning yoga taught me to breathe, to connect and to find space.

30 Days of Yoga with Adriene

I love Adriene’s fun personality. Just when you start to think you’re not cut out of this yoga thing, she cracks a joke and you realize you don’t have to take it so seriously.

This challenge goes through different styles of yoga, so it becomes an interesting adventure for yogis of all levels. (And if you’ve already completed this 30 day challenge, she has a 2nd one – Yoga Camp).

Men’s 30 Day Yoga Challenge

This free challenge is available through DoYouYoga.com. This guy is a fun character and the first video is available on YouTube.

They market the challenge to athletes, couch potatoes, and anyone in between. He simultaneously teaches foundations like breathing and sun salutations and provides ways to push your athletic edge – similar to Broga inspired classes I’ve attended.

Bad Yogi’s 30 Day Yoga Challenge

Originally on DoYouYoga.com, Erin Motz has gotten ownership of her videos and has reposted them on her own channel.

The challenge is primarily vinyasa (or flowing) yoga with a different focus each day. For example, Day 4 is core work and Day 24 is a no-sweat morning sequence. It’s an all-levels challenge, but doesn’t really focus on beginners. For Intermediates, I think it’s a fun challenge with days to play with crow, headstand, and splits.

The Most Difficult 30 Day Yoga Challenge

Doing yoga with pets in the house…

Belle likes to drop toys off the couch and onto my head.

Does your pet think the yoga mat is a play mat?
