Not every mile is transformative.

Some of them are pretty mediocre.

But run your miles, and you will be transformed.

I’ve logged a lot of miles. Miles upon miles, but not as many as my lifetime runners out there.

Has every mile been amazing? No… most are just OK. I hope sometimes that they’re OK.

But as your churn out those miles that you will never be able to recall… you come out the other end.

And at the other end, you’re changed.

Maybe you’re a brand new person with new fitness and health.

Maybe you’re just a little more you. Authentically you for you.

While most miles and runs are thankless. I thank them. Because I’ve gained so much, earned so much, loved so much.
